Hi all,
I cant seem to find an answer to this question.
I have a power bi file which connects to multiple excel and csv data sources. In this file, I have created quite a few measures and columns. Is there a way to hide the underlying formula writted to derive the measure?
When i share the pbix file, can the underlying formula be locked down to be seen only at the query editor view and not when clicking the mesure to create visuals?
Many thanks

Here is one thing that you could do. Create two Blank Query tables. Place all of your measures in one of the tables. Create the same measures with slightly different names in the second that simply reference the measures in the other table. Now, hide the first table with the actual formulas in them.
The work around is that by keeping all the formulas in Visual studio and push the output to excel or access tables. Link the final table in power bi.

Thank you Greg! I will give this a shot. Additionally, can i use tools like visual studio to write my measure in and then push them in Power BI with an idea that all underlying formula is in VS and not in Power BI?
hi, @Anonymous
I think it is impossible for now,
Power bi desktop is the development tool for you to develop the report and publish them to power bi service.

Lin
