Hide, remove, or group child Items in a hierarchy for selected parents

I'm expecting this is not going to be possible but putting the question out there in case it is. I have the following matrix visual...

AsymMatrix.png

The yellow items are calculation items from a calculation group. The green items are from a field on the fact table that the DAX in the calculation items is based on.

What I'd like do is either

  • Remove the hierarchy for Opening and Closing Balance, so the users cannot drill down, i.e. the +/- symbol is not there.
  • Change the DAX in the calculation items for Opening and Closing Balance so when the user does drill down, all they get is the totalled figures for Opening or Closing Balance not the breakdown.

Hi @mark_carlisle

  • Remove the +/- icon
    • Go to visual's format, turn off the icon under row headers. This will remove the +/- icons.

  • You can try two measures in the values of martix table, opening and closing, for the rows you don't want to show details, use Switch() and Blank() to hide them. if possible, please share some example data withour snestive data.
