Hidden slicer to work with RLS

Hi!

I have a report with RLS where report is filtered by a store. If a user has access to many stores the slicer should show all the stores and have always one selected. If a user has access to one store, then that one should be selected. This requires Force selection on a slicer which is currently not available with the regular slicer, so I have to use hierarchy or chiclet slicer. But since I don't have much space on the report I would have this slicer hidden.

Now to the problem... If I hide the slicer on a bookmark (which a user can access through a button) then the force selection won't work until the bookmark is opened.

Any thoughts how to solve this?

Here is an example: https://www.dropbox.com/s/dtr5oqdgixl0gi2/RLS_HiddenSlicer.pbix?dl=0

Thanks in advance!

@catleen  This is a tricky one. Could you make the bookmark hide the visual that covers the slicer instead of unhiding the slicer? That way Power BI thinks the slicer is always visible, but you just cover it with visuals when needed?? It won't be super clean, but might work??

@AllisonKennedy This is actually not a bad idea. Not the cleanest solution, but will work here. Thanks a lot!
