Help with line segmentation

I need to create a chart where the user can view only the lines they want simultaneously, the chart has 12 lines in total, and the user can select as many as they want to appear at the same time.

Can someone please help me?

Thanks.

Hi Hary,

Kinda depends on how your data is structured but if you are able to distinguish between the lines in a column (e.g. 12 different categories) then you could try it like the example below. By adding this linecategory column to the legend and as a slicer you'll be able to choose which lines should show up in the visual.

Hope that helps!

In my case there are 12 columns who are set in lines on the graph, thats a different case 😞

Hi Hary,

In that case you could perhaps try one of the following options:

  1. Pivot the dataset in power query (or at the source) so that the columns are in a single column
  2. you can create a slicer which shows/hides specific measures based on which values are selected. Here you can find some more info about it.

Best regards,

Tim
