Help with Limiting Data from ODBC in Query

I'm very new to Power BI and need help.  Currently have tied data tables from ODBC to Power BI.  The problem I'm having is adding a filter to keep from bringing in some much data; a date filter specifically.  I'm not sure what formula to use and whether to do this in Advanced Editor or via an SQL formula when setting up data source.

Hi @Anonymous ,

If you want to filter data before the data has been imported into PBI, you can click Get Data->advanced options and write some SQL statements to achieve the data you want.

If you want to filter data in Query Editors after the data been imported into PBI, you can use the query parameter to filter your table. For more details about the query parameter, please refer to:
