Help with IF function

Hello,

I am having a hard time getting this IF function to work.

Column  = IF(OITW[AvgPrice]="",OITW[StockValue]/OITW[OnHand],OITW[AvgPrice])

Essentially, what I need this column to do is if there a value in the AvgPrice column, use that value otherwise take the StockValue column and divide by the OnHand column.

All columns are in number format. and here is the error that I'm getting.

 DAX comparison operations do not support comparing values of type Number with values of type Text. Consider using the VALUE or FORMAT function to convert one of the values.

What am I doing wrong or is there a way a create this column in Power Query Editor?

Re: Help with IF function

It's because in OITW[AvgPrice]="", [AvgPrice] is a number and "" is text.

Try OITW[AvgPrice]=BLANK().
