Help understanding Architecture

Hi All,

I am new to Power BI. I downloaded the free dektop version. I created the reports. What are the ways that other users can see them in my company, is there a url where they can go and view the reports? I see a publich icon, if i click on the publish where will the reports be publuished to?

How can some of the users add or remove the columns in the reports. Please need help advice.

If you Publish, it will go to the Service, powerbi.com. You can share reports from there.

How come other people cannot see anything on powerbi.com, can you please tell me what all licenses we need to have, i want to know how this whole thing works.

So you want others can do things above with your on power bi service, right? About creating and developing reports, it's recommended to do them in power bi desktop(you can also do it using data flow in power bi service). You and your colleages may purchase a pro license and then you can create an app workspace(or new app workspace), add other users to the workspace(you can assign them as member who can edit the contents in workspace). After that other users can see the workspace if they are added to it and they can modify the reports in it.

Thanks but as a layman how will i ask some one sales department to access the reports, with the pro license they will just go to powerbi.com and see the reports?

Does it have powerbi/mycompanyname.com

please explain to me as a you would to a layman
