## Grouped percentage of column total

Hello,

I am new to using power BI and I'm having trouble with a calculation. I would like to get a grouped percentage, but of a column total. I have more than one group, with their total member counts by county. I would like to get the percetange of "Barnstable" , in large group, by the total. Then the same for merged market individual. I tried looking at another example under gouped percentage of row total but haven't had any luck. Can anyone help?

Thanks!

Hi @Slimage

Could you let me know what is the output you are expecting based on the screen shot you have posted?

Also can you share some sample data on googe drive / one drive and paste the link here to enable form a solution.

Cheers

Thank you for responding!

I just realized what I actually need help with is finding the porportion percentage difference between two quarters.  I'm not sure how to get the sample data to you via google drive/one doc?

## Re: Grouped percentage of column total

Hi @Slimage,

Create a measure as below.

Measure =
CALCULATE ( SUM ( Table1[count] ) )
/ CALCULATE (
SUM ( Table1[count] ),
ALLEXCEPT ( Table1, Table1[Date].[Quarter] )
)
