Hi.
I have built a report that was previously working fine.
I have done a data refresh and for some reason, the group by is not working properly.
Data is confidential so I can't share but as an example, I have a patient, A Brown who records weight loss across weekly weigh ins. My 'group by' essentially groups all the weigh in changes for a month for each patient. For every month up to June, the data is working perfectly. However in June, a "null" value is being returned for the patient location, month and weight change summary. All other months for the patient are working fine though and some patients are working fine for June. Why would the June data for some patients not be returning data from the grouped rows function properly?
Thanks.
I couldn't fix it so had to rebuild it. Time will tell with the next data refresh if it happens again.
The above shows the errors showing as null, the applied steps on the query errors and the applied steps in the original query
Hi, @NikkiSavage
Did you insert any steps that caused the error? I see that the data is all null. Can you check which step started the data change?
Best Regards

Hi. I am not using the table visual. The issue is within power query editor when I upload new data for June.
It seems to be a problem with data grouping. For example, all the entries for one patient correctly group for each month up to and including May. However, when I refresh the data, I am getting 'null' values in the columns for location, todate start of month (which is a custom column that I built in) and weight change (which is what I was summing thr grouping on). Some patients it works absolutely fine and is returning all the relevant data but some it isn't. And where it isn't, it is only when it gets to June (which is the new data that I have refreshed for) is it returning 'null' values.
@NikkiSavage , Are you using table visual?
I observed that data was not grouping in table visual after the recent upgrade.
Is it a problem with data grouping or you are getting additional blank values, which are not there in the data.
