I am connecting to a table I have in Google Big Query. However, the data coming into PowerQuery doesn't match the schema showing in Big Query. Following is a sample of the schema in Big Query for the table I am accessing:
However, in PowerQuery, it is coming across as one field and looks similar to JSON in that one field. Like the below:
If I preview the table in Big Query, it shows all of the various Itemizations fields, like in the schema shown in the first image.
Does anyone know why PowerQuery would not bring in the schema like it is showing in Big Query?
Hi @rrhutch,

It seems like you are review defined parameter list of your table instead of detail records.

I think you need to find out where google store these defined parameters. If you direct select specific table, power bi will load detail data instead table structure description.

From some other research, it looks like the issues is related to tables that are nested or has repeated rows. Google Big Query knows how to interpret the schema of those tables and display them as a flattened table. Even though PowerBI has a connector to Big Query, it doesn't appear that PBI knows how to handle those schemas.
So if anyone has figured out how to do this between Google Big Query & PBI, I would appreciate to know how.
Did anyone figure this out? I am having the same issue. Thanks.
No I did not.
