Google Analytics Goal Completions

Hi everyone,

Connecting with Google Analytics, I'm looking to understand how much each of our goal completions have cost.

I'm able to pull Cost and each of the individual Goal Completions, but to achieve data normalization, dive into the data more and build slicers I need a column with the individual goals by cost. Can't seem to figure it out.

Below is what I have at the moment and what I'd like to achieve. I know that I can do an unpivot, but then I end up doubling the cost. For example, if I unpivoted on Jan 1 (what I have now chart) it'd result in 2 rows each with a cost of $70 instead of broken up into $50 and $20 from goals 1 and 3. I'm not sure where to find that in GA though.

Much appreciated for your help!

What I have now

 CostGoal 1Goal 2Goal 3
Jan-0170101
Jan-027500150
Jan-0310305185

What I'd like to have

 CostGoal# Goals Completed
Jan-01$5011
Jan-01$2031
Jan-02$750215
Jan-03$23015
Jan-03$30021
Jan-03$500385

Hi @zskolnik ,

Could you please clarify why the cost of $70 should be broken up into $50 and $20 from goals 1 and 3, instead of $35 and $35 or other numbers ?

Best Regards,

Amy

Hi @v-xicai,

They'd be varied amounts because they're coming from different source/mediums.

I.e. goal 1 might be completed via a google ad (high cost) whereas goal 3 is completed via a facebook ad (low cost). Hopefully that helps.

I can pull S/M alongside the data which gets me closer to my goal. However, if for instance goals 1 and 2 are completed on the same day by the same source/medium, it all gets bundled under 1 row with a cost of $70. That means when unpivoting, it'd duplicate the value (two $70s instead of a split of $50 and $20 for example).

Thanks for having a look,

Zev
