Hi all,
Im connecting to GA and retrived data very well, but data dont match with the same query in GA.
I only ask for two fields:
{Cube.AddAndExpandDimensionColumn, "ga:date", {"ga:date"}, {"Date"}},
{Cube.AddMeasureColumn, "Users", "ga:users"}
Then in PBI I used Year and Month to filter sum(Users) and the result PBI vs GA is so many different.
Something else had the same problem?
Best regards
Hi @ainsua77 ,
Can you please share some screenshots? Maybe it caused the row context. It means that the results will be filtered by the other columns what you set in the visuals in Power BI. Please share the screenshots and point out the expected results and actual results. Then we will understand clearly.

Hi Xue,
Below attach GA view, Pageviews, Sessions and Users, query in power query and result in PBI.
Thanks in advance!
Hi @ainsua77 ,
After researching, I find that it is a general problem.
In Power BI Desktop, the built-in Google Analytics connector relies on Google Analytics Core Reporting API. Please review this article to check if you can combine Gender dimension and Sessions metrics using Google Analytics Core Reporting API.
In addition, for the difference between Google Analytic report and Power BI report, please check product team's response.
"The API we're using for Google Analytics is the one available to free users, and that API is known to return less accurate values for high volume sites due to the way it samples data. Unfortunately, the API for Google Analytics Premium customers is significantly different than that for the free users, so we'd need to implement a new connector specifically for Premium in order to get the more accurate values. This is not currently on our roadmap. Customers who would like to see this feature should request it or upvote it (if already there) at ideas.powerbi.com."

Hi Xue, I´ll update my issue.
When you try to retrieve, in my case: users, pagesviews, sessions, default channel grouping, device category and date, the query respond but not corresponding with GA, after try differents combinations I conclude on this, whe you have differents dates (day) the query respond with the count of users per day, it is so different to month count becouse you have superposition of users day after day, I change to month and the result is ok, and in the other hand, as you say, you cant merge differents dimentions arbitrarily.
Thanks for your help.
Best regards.
