Global Connection Power BI Desktop

Is there a way to create a "global" data source in Power BI Desktop, so when I create a new report file, I do not have to re-enter the connection information?

Hi,

Not sure to understand your question.

But if you start a new report from a Dataset published in BI Service,

you can have multiple reports based on the same Dataset.

Is that what you're looking for ?

I apologize, yes. It was right in front of me the whole time!

Good to know 🙂
