Give a Link to a tile

Can I give a external link to a tile ? Is there a custom visual available with this functionality, where I could click the tile and and the link would get opened in a new tab?

You can use Table visuals and bring in a column that contains hyperlinks.  When the user clicks on the hyperlink, they will be greeted with a new tab.  The only trick is you need to select the column, go to the Modelling Tab in the ribbon and note the 'Data Category' as 'Web URL'.

Its possible your method is already close, but perhaps you just need that final step of the data category?
