Hi,
I am using March 2018 report server and associated desktop for DEV. When i connect to SSAS Tabular Live connections, Getdata button is disabled. But we would need to work on more data sources(External) along with SSAS Tabular in the same Power BI Report. External sources like Excel, Odata feeds etc.
Can some one assist if i am missing any settings or is this sort of limitation?
Thanks
Manoj

Hi @manalla ,
When working with SSAS live connection you are not abble to pull any additonall connections to your model.
You are allowed to make new measure but not to make new tables or link to other datasets.
Check the documentation with some more limitations:
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/desktop-ssas-multidimensional
Check also this post that as a summary of live connection vs import, although some limitations are already with a different status since the post is from 2016.
