Get monthly budget from excel pivot table

Hi All,

I've budget data in the below given format and i loaded the data into power bi and did the unpivt for month and value column.

 

when I look at the dat its giving me the entire year budget but i need to show the month wise break up.

Hi @Anonymous ,

Is "Budget value" a measure or a calculated column? What is your formula like? I tried to input the data and unpivot the month columns. However, it worked fine when I drag the values into a matrix. Moreover, I tried creating a calendar table to link the original table. It still worked fine when I use the month from calendar table.

If you just drag the column into matrix and didn't do any calculations, can you please share a dummy file? It will make us understand your scenario clearly.

 

I attached my sample that you can download and check what the difference between yours and mine.
