Get loan outstanding amounts

Hello,

I have the following sample data on loan notional amounts (each date represents the amout outstanding at that day):

Loan IDDateAmount
108-05-201821,000,000.00
108-11-201820,300,000.00
108-05-201919,600,000.00
108-11-201918,900,000.00
108-05-202018,200,000.00
211-27-201918,000,000.00
205-27-202018,000,000.00
211-27-202015,000,000.00
205-27-202115,000,000.00

I need to get the notional amounts for each loan at the end of every month. How should I do that?

Thank you all.

Hi @NunoSDCoelho ,

At present, the sample data you provided does not meet your needs. Can you provide correct data samples and expected output results, so that I can do accurate tests to solve your problem.

Please let me know immediately, looking forward to your reply.

Best Regards,
Henry

@NunoSDCoelho it is ok, your sample data don't have even these dates. how easy this all makes if you have the data based on your problem statement, all this just adds a bit more confusion.

@NunoSDCoelho what is the definition of the end of the month? Are you referring to the most recent transaction since I don't see any end of month date in your sample data?

The end of the month should be the last day of every month, apologies for not being clear in my post.

For this sample, I need to have for loan 1: 21 mln at 31.05.2018, 30.06.2018, 31.07.2018,... ; 20.3 mln at 30.11.2018, 31.12.2018, and so on (the same reasoning applies to other loans).

Thank you for your help!
