Generating maximum value from a field in header as new row

Hi all!

I'm reaching out in hope that there is some geniuses here on the world wide web that could maybe help me with a transformation issue I have.

I have 2 tables that is joined together - order header & order line. The issue is that the order discount is on the order header, and because of this it's repeated for every order line associated with the order. As in the shown example, I would like the discount of 322,8 to be on a seperate row so it can be a part of the total sum. Is there any smart way to do this in Power BI? The new row would also need to inherit the other information such as OrderId and LineStatus.

The end goal is that the value from ReceiptDiscount will be in the TotalSale field as a new row.

Hi,

If the tables are not very large in size and the common headings are spelled the same, then you can append the 2 tables.

Maybe don't merge them?  Let the data model do the work.  That would save you a lot of storage space too.
