Hi Guys,
So it's not my first time with setting up getway connection.
this time I'm not familiar with the problem, there for I need you help.
the network structure is: cloud DWH -> on premise SQL Server 2016 ->Desktop PBI connected to the SQL Data source -> Publish Manulaly works fine.
Now I tried to set up on premise getway there are 2 IP Addresses :
1.PBI descktop connected to the Server Internal IP Address.
2.PBI.COM Gateway connected to the Server external IP Address. (status= Online good to go).
When I try to schadual a refresh I get the following MSG:
What should I do?. How can I use a data gateway?. (the computer I set up the gatway is always on).
Generally your gateway will be set up on a server that has access to the Microsoft 365 environment and also has access to your data source environment. The gateway will act as a bridge between both networks such that Office 365 is able to have a secure connection to your data sources in order to make the request.
So what you need to check is that your gateway has the appropriate ability to connect to both Office 365 and to whereever your data sources reside. Permissions of the gateway and its network accounts are important here too.
