Gantt chart unable to change the today line

The Gantt chart automatically indicates today's date within the Gannt chart. Can this be changed to the data refresh date, so an 'as of' instead of today for scenarios where the data content is not refreshed up to today.

Is there a work around for this?

There is no built-in option in the Gantt chart for us to change the today line. 

However, you can modify the Gantt custom visual to meet your requirement. The code of Gantt visual is in GitHub.
