Hi All -
I am hoping to see if something like this has been done before - I need to create a gantt style schedule visual where I show for each attribute, the start and end Time for a given day of the week. The crux here is that there are no dates associated with the start end times, these are just sort of "universal" start/end times for Monday through Friday. I have seen a couple posts for the As Timeline custom visual, but it looks like it has been deprecated? The other Gantt custom visuals don't seem to handle the "time" aspect of what I am trying to do, unless I am missing something. (I've only ever used these visuals previously with start and end dates, not start and end hours of the day)
This is s simplified view of the the data I am working with:
Attribute | Day of Week | Start | End |
Item #1 | Monday | 08:00 | 10:00 |
Item #1 | Tuesday | 09:30 | 11:30 |
Item #1 | Wednesday | 08:00 | 09:00 |
Item #1 | Thursday | 13:30 | 15:30 |
Item #1 | Friday | 09:00 | 11:30 |
Item #2 | Monday | 10:00 | 11:00 |
Item #2 | Tuesday | 09:30 | 11:30 |
Item #2 | Wednesday | 08:00 | 09:00 |
Item #2 | Thursday | 13:30 | 15:30 |
Item #2 | Friday | 09:00 | 11:30 |
Any help here is appreciated!
Hi @NicEdmonds ,
It seems like the following screenshot.
I don't quite understand what you mean. Please provide your expected output.

Hi there -
The problem is, is that the data doesn't have start and end dates. I could fabricate them, but even so this visual doesn't quite work for me, as it doesn't mark off each time increment as a block. I found a custom visual that gets me part of the way there, but it doesn't allow enough customization to get exactly what I need. Ideally I would be able to expand/collapse the day of the week to the hours of the day along the top, which is also not possible with this visual. (hours of the day are along the bottom, which is not helpful for the users who need to scroll to the bottom to see the hours)
@NicEdmonds , these start and end have dates ?
You can create dates withour time and use that
Date = [datetime].date
or
Date = date(year([datetime]),month([datetime]),day([datetime]))
in Power Query
DateTime.Date([datetime])
You can check, if needed

HI -
There are no dates per se, this is more about seeing an hour by hour view or schedule by weekday. So for example Item #1 is booked from 8am to 10am on Mondays, but I want to visualize that as gantt bar showing that time is "blocked" for Monday.
