Hi all,
I have a couple of questions about Power BI Desktop when you make a live connection with a dataset in the Power BI server:
- Do I need to make sure that all the data is already correct, like for instance datatypes, in the dataset in Power BI Server because I cannot use Power Query to change anything?
- Do I need to make the Calendar ready in the dataset in Power BI Server since I cannot add any tables when making a live connection?
Because I find it annoying that I always need to contact IT to make changes to the dataset, while I know that I normally can do these things in Power BI Desktop.
Any advice how to handle this?
Thanks a lot,
Kind regards,
Jo

@JoSwinnen1 , Each type of connection has limitation,
Import -> Power BI Manage Data and Model
Direct - Power BI Manage Model
Live - Both Model and Data manage bi source
Because these , there are limitations
