From powerbi desktop to powerbi service to dynamic 365 online. Why is it so slow'?

Hello,

I have some dashboard power bi desktop, publish to power bi service and then use them in dynamnic 365 online. When dyanmic 365 online loads the powerbi diagram, it takes ages... My complete pbix file is just 10MB.

Someone says that I am using heaving query in retreving the data. But, the dynamic 365 online has dashboards from powerbi servic e only. I doubt the dynamic 365 online is retriving the data from the powerbi service, it only loads the dashboards from powerbi service.

What does the infatstructure look like here? Does the DYN365 online really loads the data from database in order to display dashboards from powerbi?

Thanks,
Ricky

Hi @rickylee,

Per my understanding, adding Power BI dashboard to Dynamic 365 online would trigger the execution of Power Query in corresponding report to load data, then, those data will be displayed in Dynamic 365 online. Each time you click the refresh button on Dynamic 365 will also executing the Power Query to getting latest data from source.
