When I try to start Power BI Dekstop I get the following error message after a long waitttime.
"We weren't able to connect to the model"
Can someone tell me please what is this "model" I am unable to connect to.
I am working on a personal computer , but my license is on my work account.
Does that have anything to do with it?
It would be nice if the program gave some more info. All the previous posts regarding this issue are somewhat outdated as there are no options to choose 64 or 32 bit options in the microsoft store.
I am running windows 10 pro on a 64 bit laptop (Microsoft surface laptop 2).
I have tried restarting multiple times as well as "run as administrator"

Hi @wouldbenerd ,
By my test with the power bi desktop which downloaded from Store, I cannot reproduce your issue.
Please uninstall the power bi desktop and then redownload from Store and reinstalled it.
If you still have this issue after reinstalling the store version. You could try to install the web version to check if you will have the issue.
Best Regards,
Cherry
