Format of date slicer in Desktop and Online differs

Dear community,

I am experiencing in issue between Desktop and the published version of my report.

I have included a date slicer to select a date to show the information for a particular date. I want to make sure that the user can use a calender to choose the date and not get a list of all dates in the report.

In the desktop version this is working as planned:

I published the report in Teams and share it in the online version and the result is rather disappointing:

I am really lost why the result is entirely different from Desktop to Online. I expected that the Desktop behaviour would replicate into the Online report 1:1.

Does anybody can give me a hint what I am doing wrong?

Hi @mwegener ,

I use Chrome, have turned on the new design, and did the refresh.

I am really lost. I have another slicer on another side and there I get the expected behavior. I have checked all properties and they are the same with the one obvious exception that one slicer is "Between" and the one here is "After".

What I did now is to just deleted the "old" slicer and inserted a new one. It works. Do not ask me why as the properties are the same.

Hi @Oliver_Germany ,

is this the Guy in a Cube DatePicker hack?

Is it also displayed incorrectly in the Power BI Portal or only in Teams?

Yes, it is Patrick's hack.

I have checked the Teams view and there it works as expected. So only the PBI online version has the issue.

This puzzles me even more.

HI @Oliver_Germany ,

which browser do you use?

Did you activate the new design?

Do a force refresh of the webpage. ( ctrl + F5)
