I can't believe I'm asking this question but is there a direct - non workaround - way to format counts or values from a non-numeric field? Eveyrthing I read says either format source data or create a new workaround measure. I found this answer, http://community.powerbi.com/t5/Desktop/Comma-Format-count-of-values-in-Matrix/m-p/391828#M178636, but its three years old. Microsoft hasn;t implemented it by now?
Is it not possible to simply format counts in a matrix? The modeing tab is grayed out.
Thanks in advance.
Hi @biuser4,
In your scenario, what kind of format did you mean? If you mean that you want to add Thousands Separator like your shared link. Then I'm afriad that there's no direct way to format counts or values from a non-numeric field.
If you want to do other formats. Please make a more detailed description.
Thanks,
Xi Jin.
