Forecasting for doing budgeting on a monthly level

Hi!

I'm trying to find out how to do forecasting on a date level and then see aggreagated montly summary for that forecast?? We need numbers for monthly budgeting, but forecasting should be done on a daily basis and then summarized up.

I don't want to export daily forecast *.csv into Excel. Surely there must be a better way? Like drilling up from day to month level etc.

Already tried couple of custom visuals.

Thanks,
Kaarel.

@kaarel,

You may take a good look at Drill down in a visualization in Power BI.

Could You try yourself? Make a line chart, then go to Analaysis tab. Add forecast. Try to add an hierachy...

Unfortunately for me it doesn't seem to work. I'm using live connection & SSAS multidimensional model

Best Wishes,
Kaarel.
