Fixate: Relationship model view

Hi there,

is there any possibility to fixate my realtionship model view once I arranged it accordingly?

If I open and close the pbix file, the relationship view is a mess again 😕

Hope you can help me here, couldnt find anything about this issue yet!

Thank you in advance!

Hi @Jano

What do you mean "the relationship view is a mess again"

Does "realtionship model view" refer to the "Relationship View" as below?

Which version of Power BI Desktop do you use?

Hi @v-juanli-msft,

yeah sorry, I meant the "relationship view", A in your in screen.

My arrangement of the tables in this view is not properly saved, PowerBI does a new arrangement whenever I close and open the pbix file.

Iam using version: 2.65.5313.621 64-bit (Dezember 2018) - had this issue also before december version already though.

Thank you!

Best regards,

Jano

Hi @Jano

Do you edit the relationship via Modelling->"Manage relationship" ?

Do you save after each editing?

(click OK in both the Create Relationship dialog and the Manage Relationships dialog)

Please check the article below to see if you do the right way.

Hi @v-juanli-msft, sorry for the late response.

My problem is not about the relationsships itself, it's just about the view of the tables and the arrangement towards each other.

For example im dragging my tables in this sequence: A-B-C, save the file and open it again, Power BI altered my sequence to B-C-A for example.

This does get quite confusing when you built your model with a lot of tables and spend some time arraging the lookup tables at the top and the data tables at the bottom and so on, and power bi just confusing them again after you reopen the file.

Hope I could express my problem now.

Thank you for your help!

Kind regards,

Jano
