In the slicer you now have functionality to handle a range of dates with start and end range
For dates of where the type is set to fiscal date type in the properties of SSAS (mdx version) they dont seem to be picked up by the slicer as a date and therefore list all dates which is rather annoying rather than the range anyone had this issue and know how to resolve it?

Hi for anyone who might be interested, i figured out the issue.
When connecting to SSAS Power BI seems to create a new field called DateField.value underneath the DateField and this is the field one needs to use for using date functionality on certain visuals such as the slicer.

hi if you know SSAS you will understand the issue probably? in SSAS when you set your datatypes, you can also set your usage type for dates, whether calendar of fiscal. What i want to konw is dates set as dates in SSAS, why are they not being picked up as date types in Power BI?
