Fiscal Year cumulative Total and for Month

I am trying to get totals based on the fiscal Year which starts 05/01. 

1. Prior Year Totals and 2 years ago totals. 

     If my selection is for 2021-06,   I need the cumulative totals for May & Jun for 2020 and 2019 

2.  Prior Year same month total -   

     I used the below measure which seems working fine. Wanted to confirm if it is safe to use Parallelperiod function

CALCULATE(SUM(Fact[Sales]),PARALLELPERIOD('Calendar'[Date],-12,MONTH))

Calendar date is set to Fact date relationship .

What about the cumulative?
