Finding Azure Active Directory Group from User logged in Info. without having User table in model

Hi Guys,

I need to put a logic in Power BI which is like restricting view of graphs to some set of users only who belong to a specific Azure Active directory group.

Can we return AAD group information somehow based on user logged in information. We can find the user login ID using USERNAME() or USERPRINCIPALNAME() dax function. Can we also find which AAD group this user belongs to? I need to put this logic on AAD group level.

There is a way to do this if I bring user detail table in Power BI model from AAD. This is not possible in my case. Let me know if this can be done.

Thanks.

Hi @Mann ,

Based on my searching, PowerBI haven't provided a function to get these information from Azure AD.

Best Regards,

Teige
