Hello
I'm trying to create a filter that depends on a text input from the user viewing the report (a date). That is, I want there to be a text field that allows only a date to be written, and then transform that date into a filter... I don't know if it's possible.
Thank you!
Hi @Syndicate_Admin ,
You can have a slicer with the text/date and turn on the search option within the same slicer. Please find below screenshot for your reference:
@Syndicate_Admin if you want to search a date then convert that column into text and then try this.
Please hit the thumbs up & mark it as a solution if it helps you.
I find what you tell me very useful, but it's not really what I was looking for; I explained myself a little badly at the beginning: I have a cover as a canvas background, in which I must put a date and a goblal KPI every month (a value that depends on the date we are on). I could do it by hand, but since I have all the data dumped in PowerBI, I would like to know if there is any way to do for me to be able to write the date on the box where the date goes and that the value of that KPI automatically comes out on the box reserved for this data.
Thanks a lot!!
@Syndicate_Admin , One of the way is have date in text format and use text filter : https://appsource.microsoft.com/en-us/product/power-bi-visuals/WA104381309?src=office&tab=Overview
Date Text = format([Date], "YYYYMMDD")
