Filtering out Empty Dates in Forecasting

I am trying to track production of construction based off piece counts installed per day. I have only tracked a week of progress, but it sums up all of my piece counts from dates that have blank installations. How can I right a measure on my running total to be able to forecast my production.image (1).png

I am using the following formula to create the running total.

Running Total Instance Count =
Calculate(
Sum('Grid Data'[Instance Count]),
Filter( ALL ('Grid Data'), 'Grid Data'[Date_Installed]
<= MAX('Grid Data'[Date_Installed]))
)

Hi @Anonymous

Could you show an example and the rule for forecasting?

Best Regards
Maggie
