Hi,

I'm trying to Query some data in Power Query and it's taking so long. I only want to test a single row and it still needs to download 2gb +

Hi @michael_knight

You say you only want to test 1 row?  What exactly are you trying to do?

As others have said, the merge you are doing will pull in the whole table.

Regards

Phil

Hi @michael_knight ,

I think you can create a new calculated table to extract the information you need. The amount of data in the original table is too large, which consumes a lot of time when querying.

Best Regards,

Yuna

@michael_knight yes merged query is going to download the whole table. How big is the 2nd table you are making join with?

Hi @parry2k

The Original table is really big, like 900k rows. The table I'm merging is only 20 or so
