Filter within dashboards not filtering Power App

Hi there,

Just started a new position at a new company and was shown one of their reports they have created which includes a power app at the bottom of the canvas.  I am not familiar with Power Apps and have little experience with it.

Currently, their is a filter at the top of the dashboard filtering the above visuals, followed by a filter within the Power App.

This additional filter within the Power App is necessary as the first filter at the top of the dashboard does not filter the Power App, meaning the user must filter twice to get the information needed.

IS there a way to resolve this?  MY goals is to have the first filter at the top of the report filter both the above visuals and the Power App.

Please don't use the term dashboard, it means something different in Power BI.

The PowerApps visual as all other visuals is impacted by the current filter context.  For example if your data model has a dimension table that feeds a slicer / filter,  and your other visuals are based on a fact table that is downstream from that dimension table, then your filter choices will impact all those visuals - including the Power Apps visual.  If, however, the PowerApps visual is fed from a table that is not properly linked in the data model then filter changes will not impact the PowerApps visual's available data.

So - check your data model, and check that the PowerApps visual is fed by the appropriate columns of your downstream (dependent) tables.
