Filter to show users what they have searched in the Microsoft Text Filter Visual

Hi all,

I am trying to think of the DAX measure requried to show users on the report header what they have entered in on the Microsoft Text Filter Visual. 

Screenshot below shows the text filter visual and this search is looks at this column on the report: 

Street Works Applications & Works'[work_reference_number]

So for example if I search for GE401 this will show me all work references thats have the GE401 heading. It works fine but I am looking for a header to go at the top of the report to show users what they have searched for - when the filter pane is closed. 

Also is there anyway this can be capitcalised as well ? so for example if a user searched for ge401 the heading will show as GE401.

Any help is appreciated - many thanks!

Hi @JayTG123 

You can not retrieve whatever value was written in a Text Filter visual.

For example, if a user searched for GE you will not be able to display this value somewhere in report or through a measure otherwise what you can display is all values which contain GE.
