Filter one paginated report from another paginated report

Hello,

I have a paginated report that contains a time line and I would like for one specific study number  (attribute in a table) open another paginated report where I have more details and filter its content using the protocol number.

I have managed to open a paginated report from another one, whoever as soon as I specify the protocol number as a filter parameters,  I can't even open the 2nd paginated report. The link doesn't work anymore

Here is the URL I am using where I try to pass the study number

="https://app.powerbi.com/groups/me/apps/c9d5838f-9ffd-4f53-8681-43bfcf06e349/rdlreports/986199f1-8aed... eq " & Parameters!DimProtocolPTCLNUM.Value & ""

I also tried to filter a PBI report and it doesn't work too.

Could you please let me know what am I doing wrong ?

Thanks in advance,

Mariem,

Hi @Anonymous

Your URL with parameter to filter a paginated report is not in the correct format. It should be like

https://app.powerbi.com/groups/xxxxxxxx/rdlreports/xxxxxxx-abc7-40f0-b456-febzf9cdda4d?rp:Salesperson=Mickey

See examples in Pass a report parameter in a URL for a paginated report - Power BI Report Builder. It is different from that for Power BI reports.

If you want to pass a parameter value, try adding

"report_base_url?"&"rp:ParameterName="&Parameters!ParameterName.Value

If you want to pass a field value, try

Fields!FieldName.Value
