Filter - list of vaues imported or pasted

I see various posts re. the need for this function. 'Solutions' seem to be importing a 'list' table and doing an inner join or writing code in DAX.

I'm looking for what I belive is a basic function for a BI Tool.

Can you create a Filter object which can handle importing a text file containing a list of values? Or can have a list of values pated into it, seperated by a commas or semicolons like BOBJ Web Intelligence or SAP BW. (e.g. 1000;2000;2010;2050;3000)

Based on current description, I'm not clear about your requirement.

What function are you looking for? After using the 'Solution' you mentioned, what is the result? What is "a list table"? Do you mean multiple tables or a table contains a list of values?

How does the Filter object work? Is the data source a text file?

Do you mean separate column by delimiter? 

Would you please provide sample data and show us your expected output to better illustrate your scenario?

Hi Yuliana,

Hopefully this picture will explain this very common function in many BI Tools. For example, in Business Objects Webi, as long as you delimit by semicolon, you can paste up to 1000 values in a filter...
