Filter data by a specified date range

Hello Everyone,

I have 3 years worth of data from Google Analytics. During this time various employers have been "spotlighted" on our website for a month at a time. I want to create a separate measure for each employer and the duration of time in which they had a spotlight on the website, however, I'm not sure how to write the formula to filter by date. For instance, Company X was on the site from March 1, 2016 - March 31, 2016 and received 30 clicks. How can I write a forumla to get that information?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Spencer,

According to your description, you need to get the colick on the website on a specifed data range, right?

If that is the case, you can use a timeline visual in your report. The Timeline slicer is a graphical date range selector used as a filtering component in Power BI. This makes filtering data by date dimension easy and fun. The visual is available on the link below.

Perhaps create a table with a column for Employers and a column for each day they were Spotlighted on.

Then join the new table to your existing FACT tables and create some slicers on it.
