Hi,
I would like to use query reductions for my report based on Live Connection to SSAS Cube.
The idea is to move slicers from report canvas to filter pane and add a single Apply button to apply changes at once.
However, when I am doing it I noticed a lot of irrelevant values (children) possible to select in the filter.
When using slicers on canvas we can add measures (example Total >0) to filter on this visual to obtain only a list of selections with values. There is anything what I can do to obtain similar results on filter pane or ask to be added to our Cube without rebuilding it entirely?
Regards,
Karo

Hi @karo ,
For live connection mode, we can create report level measures in the Power BI Desktop, but we cannot drag and drop Measure to Filters on this page/Filters on all pages at all only open connection to a single SSAS database. All underlying data and relationship is loaded, it's not supported to make any modeling change.
So, for your requirement, you can achieve them in import mode. Then try the operation I provided above.
If the problem is still not resolved, please provide detailed error information and let me know immediately. Looking forward to your reply.
Best Regards,
Henry

Hi @karo ,
First you need to check it in options->report settings->filtering experience.
Then I did a test, how to filter the data by using Filter Pane. Create a measure, filter out the rows satisfying Good in the Filter pane. As long as you can create a suitable measure, you don’t need to recreate it in the cube

@v-henryk-mstf Thank you for the reply. Are you sure that this should work also for reports based on Live Connection? I simply cannot drag and drop Measure to Filters on this page/Filters on all pages at all.
