Filling in missing dates with 0 (Solution for Stacked Area Charts WILL NOT WORK FOR SCROLLING 12 MO)

Let's say I have 3 columns of data where column 1 is titled "Ticket #" with column 2 titled "Opened By" and the last column is "Open Date."  There are 10 people who can open tickets on any given day.  That means, for each specific day, I need a value for each of the 10 people and the number of tickets they opened that day. I will then chart the results for trending but I need to have the date someone does NOT open a ticket to be 0.  My source data ONLY reports tickets opened. Therefore, I have missing dates that need a 0 for that person.  The "Stacked Area Charts look distorted: Attempting to Fill Missing Periods with 0" solution seems to work ONLY from 01/01/2016 to 12/31/2016 and needs to be updated manually if outside that range.  I would like something that, once set up, does not need human intervention to make it work (Change date range for calendar).  Meaning... whatever my source dates are I have something that fills in the missing dates, where someone does NOT open a ticket, with a 0.  Can this be done?

Hi @TheKiltedGolfer

It seems you need to create a measure with +0 for your data. If it is not your case, please share some simplified data sample or pictures and expected output so that we could help further on it. You can upload it to OneDrive or Dropbox and post the link here.

Cherie
