Fields List pane - list of fields showing automatically

Whenever I click on a table in the Fields List pane of the Data View tab, the list of fields always appears/hides automatically. Is there a way to stop this behaviour? It can take up a lot of space in the pane so I often have to click the table twice to view the data grid but with the field list neatly rolled up.

Hi @Wainers,

Sometimes, I face the same scenario as yours, where the list of fields appears/hides automatically when I switch from Report View tab to Data View tab. But this behavior doesn't always occur. Per my understanding, if the dataset contains many data, or your computer environment is under hard workload, it needs some response time to display details. Unfortunately, there is no option to control this behavior.

Thanks, Yuliana.

Looks like I'll have to live with it, but at least I now know to stop looking.

Hi @Wainers,

I didn't find a valid solution to stop this behaviour. But when I faced this problem, the detailed data would show once I right click the table and choose "Refresh Data". Not sure whether it applies to your scenario.

Thanks, smoupre. I'd just been watching one of the training videos and the presenter was clicking on different tables without the field list dropping down (or rolling up) and wondered if there was a setting for that. Guess I'll just have to live with it.
