FULL OUTER JOIN taking too long to execute.

I have 2 huge tables. I am trying to merge those using full outer join but it is taking way too long. Is there a problem with my data model of these 2 datasets? what should be the ideal data model or what can I do differently to join these 2 tables?

Hi @saylee ,

I am not sure what kind of methods did you try to merge the huge tables, if you use the Power Query, because the size of dataset will increase times the number of columns. So I suggest that unless necessary, you can load these tables in the Power BI Desktop and make relationships.

You can refer this documentation to optimize:

And you also can check this threads to look for other methods:

Hope this helps you.
