Extracting Data from Xero and Harvest.

Hello All,

Do we have any scenario from where we can get data from the Financial Softwares like Harvest and Xero into Azure any Data storage and then in Power BI, there are any 3rd party API's available but I don't want to use that.

Regards.

There is a PowerBI App called Xero that you can use in PowerBI service. This app has customised reports and dashboards.

If you want to connect to Xero database, Powerbi doesnt actually have any connector to Xero. This means that you cannot connect from PowerBI desktop to Xero.

There is a good website which has a connector to Xero which loads the data to Azure. It is called Stitchdata. (https://www.stitchdata.com/integrations/xero/azure-sql-data-warehouse/)

This is what i have been using so far and im quite happy.

Another option is to use an ODBC connector that connects PowerBI to Xero database.

A good connector is the following:

I have written my own code to extract data from Xero https://vidi-corp.com/connect-xero-to-power-bi-tableau-excel-looker-studio/

I can write same one for Harvest or other data sources if you are interested.
