Expression error: The name 'sum' wasn't recognized. Make sure it's spelled correctly.

Hi

can you please help on this error.

when i create a custon column with sum(if [column] ="" then "" else "")

i am getting the error.

Hi @kishoresakamuri,

 

If you create a calculated column use DAX, you can't write a expression in SUM( ) function. You can use the SUMX( ) function like below:

 

Column = SUMX('Table1',IF('Table1'[ID]="a",0,'Table1'[Amount]))

 

Column 2 = SUMX(FILTER('Table1','Table1'[ID]<>"a"),'Table1'[Amount])

use the below code it will help .

 

 

column = if( column=" A ", " B " , " C " )
