Exporting to Excel

Hello,

I am trying to export a table or a matrix visual to Excel - but clicking on "Export" -> "Analyze in Excel" exports a blank pivot table. Is it possible to export the table as it is in Excel - with the columns, data the way it was when I exported it. Is it possible in Power BI? I'd really appreciate any help.

Thank you!

Hi @newpbiuser01 ,

If you could not three dots when you view the report, please make sure the "Hide the visual header in reading view" option is disabled:

I am also having this issue, and have that setting disabled. It still doesn't seem to work for me (I'm still getting a blank pivot table when I export to excel). Any ideas on how to fix this?

Hi @v-eqin-msft

That was it! Thank you so much! I have been going insane why I can't see it!

1. Click on the Visual.

2. Top Right of the visual -> Click on the 3 dots -> Export Data

3. Make your preferred choice from below:

4. Click Export.

5. Give Thumbs Up. Thanks 🙂

Hi @dhruvinushah,

I don't see the three dots next to the visual. Is there a setting I need to enable? I click on the visual and dont see it.

Thank you!
