Exporting a large number of rows from Power BI to Excel or CSV

Hello there,

I am hoping to get some assistance with what I think is a relatively straightforward problem. I have queried a large set of data from a sharepoint (around 2 million rows of data), and I need to somehow export this data out of Power BI into Excel or a CSV file. The issue is of course the export limit within power BI - 150k for Excel and 30k for CSV. Is there a workaround for this? I've tried some of the solutions I saw online such as linking through Excel but that has failed me. Has anyone successfully managed this? Thanks in advance.

Exporting through DAX Studio (a free community-tool) is very fast and you can even export your whole model at once: https://xxlbi.com/blog/dax-studio-export-all-data/

Hey @Anonymous,

next to the approach using R or Python (that has it limits if you want the process automated from within Power BI Service), you can use Paginated Report renderings (https://christopherfinlan.com/2019/01/24/yes-you-can-export-unlimited-rows-of-data-from-paginated-reports-in-power-bi/), if you are on Power BI Premium as this is a Premium feature (at least for now).

Regards,

Tom

Thank you for this. Didn't know this tool existed, and it was the most straightforward way to export my data without code. Appreciate it.
