Export into Excel (without clicking the ellipses)

Hi,

 

Is there any way we can create export to excel without clicking on elipses. I have tried it using R script but Power BI service imposes restriction on it. is there anyother way it can be done ?

I'm afraid that there is no other way for us to export into excel without clicking the ellipses.

 

You could vote this similar idea or submit a new idea in power bi ideas forum and add your comments there to improve Power BI and make this feature coming sooner.

Hi @Anonymous ,

 

I have tried using the similar thing with R, It works fine with PowerBi desktop , but gives error in powerbi service. Have u find way round for it?

Same. I have also done it using R script visual in desktop but when export to service it was not working, as Power BI service uses Sandbox technology which imposes security restriction and due to which connectivity between internet and local machine is not possible in service when trying to export excel from service to local.

Unfortunately there was no otherway around and you should inform to business the same.
