Export data with only the levels shown on the report

Hi Everyone,

Last time I searched online Power BI didn't support exporting data with the only levels of details shown on the report, has this issue been fixed by any chance? Users only want to export the data to the levels what they can see on the screen not all levels built in the report. E.g. if a table was built containg customer ID, customer name and customer group, is there a way export only customer ID not all of the three?

Thanks.

Hi @Penn

Then default feature "export data from visual" doesn't support to export only specific columns of the visual.

It can export filtered rows of the visual when you put a slicer on it.

One workaround is to put only the column to be exported on the visual, then export it to excel/csv.

Another workaround is to use R scripts to export data.

It is more complex and requires R knowledge.

Best Regards
Maggie
