Exponential format when downloading data

This could just be one of those quirks. I have a table of data that includes references which include the format 12345E19 (where 12345 is the unique part that relates to E19). Therefore there are a large number of 'E19' references.

Despite setting the field as text, when downloading to Excel it thinks that it is an exponential number and turns it into 1.23E19 (in the example above).

Has anyone seen this before and been able to fix it?

For further context I'm using the Quick Measure to create a concatenated list of policy references, so this only happens when there is just one reference returned. We are using Azure SSAS so I can't change or add columns or amend the underlying query.

Hi @Anonymous ,

Your demand is a good idea, while it is not supported to implement in Power BI currently. You can post your new idea in Idea Forum , to improve the Power BI.

It is a place for customers provide feedback about Microsoft Office products . What’s more, if a feedback is high voted there by other customers, it will be promising that Microsoft Product Team will take it into consideration when designing the next version in the future.

Best Regards,

Amy
